IDPA Gear
IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) is a shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios and involves the use of handguns. To participate in IDPA competitions, you will need the following gear:

A handgun: IDPA allows the use of semi-automatic pistols, revolvers, and single-action semi-automatic pistols in specific divisions. The handgun must be chambered in a caliber between .32 and .45, and must meet certain size and weight requirements.

Ammunition: IDPA recommends using factory-loaded ammunition for competition. Handloads are not allowed.

Holster: IDPA requires the use of a holster that covers the trigger guard and allows the handgun to be securely holstered and drawn. The holster must be worn on the strong side of the body (the side you shoot with).

Magazine carrier: IDPA requires the use of a magazine carrier that holds at least two spare magazines. The carrier must be worn on the belt or on a harness attached to the belt.

Belt: IDPA requires the use of a belt that is no more than 1.75 inches wide and made of leather, nylon, or Kydex. The belt must be able to support the weight of the handgun, holster, and magazine carrier.

Eye and ear protection: IDPA requires the use of eye and ear protection while on the range. This is to protect your hearing and eyesight from the noise and debris caused by gunfire.

Clothing: IDPA requires the use of clothing that covers the entire body, including the arms and legs. The clothing must be appropriate for the weather and the range conditions.
